HTC has finally pushing the Android 4.3 update for HTC One Developer Edition. This a major software update that bumps-the HTC One from build version 1.29.1540.17 Android 4.1.2 to the current firmware build 3.22.1540.1, a Android 4.3 upgrade. According to the official changelog, that this update will only bring an additional enhancements to the current HTC Sense 5 UI (user’s interface) wrapped in Android 4.3.
The hefty size of 564.04MB firmware packaged does not seem believably tells the whole story at all. The changelog might have been shortened on purposed and I’m sure that there might some major impact about this update, including camera enhancements, battery life improvements, squashing some bugs, and among other stuff this update may bring just like the Asian version of HTC One 4.3 received the other day.
If your HTC One developer edition haven’t received this 3.22.1540.1 update just simply do that little tap and touch thing from your phone’s Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. This update just already confirmed hitting US HTC One GPE with CID number ‘BS_US001′ .
Those might have rooted their HTC One and might facing issues to get this update, you can also restore back your phone to stock RUU. Just make sure and don’t forget to back-up all of your important files stored from the phone and copy it to your computer. You can use the RUU version 1.29.1540.3 then just accepts previous minor OTA updates 1.29.1540.16 and 1.29.1540.16 until it will prompts you to version OTA 3.22.1540.1.
For U.S carrier branded HTC One variants that has been already converted to developer edition, of-course with already re-locked bootloader and has changed the CID number to BS_US001, you can also use the stock RUU 1.29.1540.16. Then perform the same basic method on updating via OTA.
We will try to find the stock OTA firmware file or might as well the official RUU on this 3.22.1540.1 build, if HTC will release it and become available this coming few days. That’s it! Just make sure to spot anything new if you already received this update.

A surprising OTA update has been silently rolling out for Nexus 7 LTE variants. The new Google Android OS has now bumped-up to Android 4.3.1 and the LTE Nexus 7 is the luckiest device to taste it first. The new Android 4.3.1 with firmware build number JLS36I is now rolling via OTA (over-the-air). But there are no official changelog has been released or any word from Google about this said 4.3.1 as of this moment. We also consider that this Android 4.3.1 update will also hit to other Nexus smartphones and tablets soon.
The firmware file size is just around 16MB, it’s too small to expect with more changes this update brings. As we’ve have seen, a firmware file size like this is either for security enhancements or more on bug-fixes. Though the Android version bumps up to a little higher from 4.3 to 4.3.1 but we are at the stage Jelly Bean though. Here is Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720) official Android 4.3 VPUEMJA stock OTA update firmware file that can be flashed through stock recovery.This update is now live via OTA over the air, the stock OTA firmware is only useful for those who are facing issues updating through OTA or can’t wait to take the update any longer. This is the same file officially released by Sprint and again which can be manually installed by going through the stock recovery.

Okay, download the stock OTA update MJA file, then copy it to your external SD card. Then reboot your phone into recovery mode, simply press volume up button and the power button until it shows you the recovery mode screen. Scroll to the option that says “update from SD card” then simply browse the MJA file from your SD card, then hit install. Wait until it completely install the MJA update file. You should then see that your Galaxy S4 will boot into Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Step 2: Prepare things as follows.
– Use a PC or laptop that runs in Windows OS, with a good and perfectly working USB serial port.
– Use the USB cable wire for your Galaxy S4.
– Make sure that your Galaxy S4 battery is fully charge.
– Back up all important files stored from your phone’s internal memory – contacts, messages, etc. Full (Nandroid back-up) for those who runs with custom ROMs.
– Perform Full wipe data/factory reset dalvik cache, this is useful to gain a smooth flashing. (Just make sure that you already back up all your important files before resetting your device.
Step 3: Extract or unzip the downloaded stock firmware so that you’ll get the Odin flashable .tar.md5 file. Use Winzip, winrar, 7zip or any extracting tool you had in your computer.
Step 4: Run and Configure Odin
Run Odin downloader on your computer’s desktop. Watch out the check-boxes options on the right top of Odin, ensure that the ‘RE-PARTITION’ is unchecked. Leave the ‘AUTO-REBOOT and ‘F.RESET TIME’ remains checked.
Now, click on the AP button, then select and load the tar file that you have previously extracted. “L720VPUEMJA_L720SPTEMJA_L720VPUEMJA_HOME.tar.md5″
Step 5: Reboot the Galaxy S4 into Download Mode.
To put your Galaxy S4 in download mode, just simply switch it off then gently press and hold the “POWER, VOLUME DOWN and HOME” buttons simultaneously. You’ll be then prompted in a warning screen to continue or cancel.
Step 6: Connect the Phone to the Computer or Laptop
Once the phone screen shows in downloading mode, connect your phone to the PC with the USB cable. You’ll then notice the upper box in Odin that turns in yellow color., it also indicates the COM:ID where the device is being detected and a word “added!!’ on the log box. If somehow those things never showed up, check out the USB cable connection, read again from the top of this post.
Step 7: Flash it!
Once all set and ready, hit he “START” button to begin flashing.
Do not touch anything that might interrupt the process to avoid any fatal errors or failures, it may ruin your device if any interruption occurs while already in flashing status.
It may takes a couple of minutes or longer and it depends of your PC/laptop speeds. A word “PASS” will display in Odin once it finishes. If somehow you will not get the word “PASS” or just stuck in along time. Disconnect the phone, remove battery, re-insert it, check the USB connection, re-install the driver, disable Kies and any anti-virus. Set the phone in Downloadmode again, and repeat the whole procedure.
The phone will just automatically reboots if the firmware flashing successfully completes. Just wait until it boots up on the “Samsung” logo for a while then into an android update screen. If it still shows boot logo try rebooting and if it stays there, you need to wipe your phone.

Make sure your Galaxy S4 battery has been re-charge and then make a full back-up of your important files stored from the phone. The MJA update comes in a new bootloader, so make sure to have a full back-up. You phone must currently run on stock firmware Android 4.2.2 MF9 and NOT ROOTED. If your phone is rooted you’ll lose root once you take this update, so try to figure out how to update without loosing root. This is not recommended for those rooted Galaxy S4 devices, since this is a official Android 4.3 update from Samsung and Sprint. You must also be aware that this update includes KNOX security suite, and it can be tripped once you installed any custom recovery, root kernels and any unsigned firmwares. There is a new “KNOX Warranty Void flag” now when you take your device into download mode, and the default official count is 0x0, once tripped it will set to 0x1. How’s it clever? Yeah! So watch out for that.Okay, download the stock OTA update MJA file, then copy it to your external SD card. Then reboot your phone into recovery mode, simply press volume up button and the power button until it shows you the recovery mode screen. Here is the stock Android 4.3 firmware build M919UVUEMK2 for TMO’s Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919). The stock MK2 is only useful for those who wants to manually upgrade or restore back their Galaxy S4 phones if its rooted, installed with custom recovery, ROMs and can’t update through Kies or accepts OTA update anymore. The main features of the Android 4.3 update are the Galaxy Gear compatibility support and KNOX security support but there also lots of new enhancements and improvements like the touchscreen, camera, photo gallery, display, browser, keyboard and etc.
For those who still runs or used the official Android 4.2.2 M919UVUAMDL, the M919UVUEMK2 4.3 update is now officially rolled-out and you can simply upgrade via OTA (over-the-air) and or Samsung Kies server. All you need is re-charge your smartphone’s battery, and then back-up or sync your files. You may also need to download Kies if you have not installed it yet and lastly simply connect your Galaxy S4 to the computer and then perform the update. Now, flashing any unsigned or unofficial firmware like custom recovery, root kernels will result into ripping the KNOX Warranty red-flag counter. Once tripped it will then turns your system to “KNOX Warranty Void: 0x1″. Meaning, your warranty is already compromised and there is no way you can revert it back to normal and no other working method to reset it back.
Can I only flashed only just the MK2 modem?
If you have custom ROM and only wants to install the new M919UVUEMK2 MODEM or might probably you already installed it, well this time it will not worked anymore, since the Modem is also protected with the new 4.3 bootloader, and once you only install the Modem, you will only going to faced issues like WiFi data signal lost and can’t even make any phone calls. So the only convenient way is to flashed the full stock firmware to make it working.
Can I still Root the MK2 4.3 update?
Yes, Root will still worked but keep in mind, from here your warranty will be gone for good. You have no right to bother your service provider anymore once you messed-up then you are at your own.
Will this trip the KNOX warranty void flag once flashed?
No, this will not tripped the KNOX security platform for this the official firmware pulled from Samsung server and officially signed by Samsung and the same firmware files rolled out on OTA. You only tripped KNOX counter if you are going to install any unofficial firmwares, including custom ROMS, recovery, root kernels and any unsigned system images.

For those who still runs or used the official Android 4.2.2 M919UVUAMDL, the M919UVUEMK2 4.3 update is now officially rolled-out and you can simply upgrade via OTA (over-the-air) and or Samsung Kies server. All you need is re-charge your smartphone’s battery, and then back-up or sync your files. You may also need to download Kies if you have not installed it yet and lastly simply connect your Galaxy S4 to the computer and then perform the update. For OTA update you can simply hit your phone';s Settings>>About Device>>Software Update or simply follow the official support guide from T-Mobile here – http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5887
Important Notes:
The Android 4.3 Software Update build M919UVUEMK2 is now equipped with new Bootloader and the implementation of KNOX security suite. Once your phone updated to 4.3, there is no way you can downgrade back to the old software like the 4.2.2 M919UVUAMDL. There is now a KNOX Warranty void counter which you may find it hidden in download mode option. By pressing Volume Down+Home+Power button it shows you the “KNOX Warranty Void: 0x0″.Now, flashing any unsigned or unofficial firmware like custom recovery, root kernels will result into ripping the KNOX Warranty red-flag counter. Once tripped it will then turns your system to “KNOX Warranty Void: 0x1″. Meaning, your warranty is already compromised and there is no way you can revert it back to normal and no other working method to reset it back.
Can I only flashed only just the MK2 modem?
If you have custom ROM and only wants to install the new M919UVUEMK2 MODEM or might probably you already installed it, well this time it will not worked anymore, since the Modem is also protected with the new 4.3 bootloader, and once you only install the Modem, you will only going to faced issues like WiFi data signal lost and can’t even make any phone calls. Step 2: Prepare things as follows:
– Use a PC or laptop that runs in Windows OS, with a good and perfectly working USB serial port.
– Use the USB cable wire for your Galaxy S4.
– Make sure that your Galaxy S4 battery is fully charge.
– Back up all important files stored from your phone’s internal memory – contacts, messages, etc.
– Enable USB debugging from your phone’s settings. Go to Settings > Applications > Development, and tick the box that says ‘Enable USB Debugging’.
– Do a “Hard Reset” if you run on custom ROM perform back-up then wipe data “Dalvik cache/Factory reset” in recovery. This is useful to gain a smooth flashing. (Just make sure that you already back up all your important files before resetting your device.
Step 3: Extract or unzip the downloaded stock firmware so that you’ll get the Odin flashable .tar.md5 file. Use Winzip, winrar, 7zip or any extracting tool you had in your computer.
Step 4: Run and Configure Odin
Run Odin downloader on your computer’s desktop. Watch out the check-boxes options on the right top of Odin, ensure that the ‘RE-PARTITION’ is unchecked. Leave the ‘AUTO-REBOOT and ‘F.RESET TIME’ remains checked.
Now, click on the AP button, then select and load the tar file that you have previously extracted. “M919UVUEMK2_M919TMBEMK2_M919UVUEMK2_HOME.tar.md5″
Step 5: Reboot the Galaxy S4 Iinto Download Mode.
To put your Galaxy S4 M919 in download mode, just simply switch it off then gently press and hold the “POWER, VOLUME DOWN and HOME” buttons simultaneously. You’ll be then prompted in a warning screen to continue or cancel.
Step 6: Connect the Phone to the Computer or Laptop

It may takes a couple of minutes or longer and it depends of your PC/laptop speeds. A word “PASS” will display in Odin once it finishes. If somehow you will not get the word “PASS” or just stuck in along time. Disconnect the phone, remove battery, re-insert it, check the USB connection, re-install the driver, disable Kies and any anti-virus. Set the phone in Download mode again, and repeat the whole procedure.
The phone will just automatically reboots if the firmware flashing successfully completes. Just wait until it boots up on the “Samsung” logo for a while then into an android update screen. If it still shows boot logo try rebooting and if it stays there, you need to wipe your phone.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 official Android 4.3 update has just released and this comes in firmware build number T999UVUEMJC. The T999UVUEMJC 4.3 update now comes with Galaxy Gear support and KNOX security suite, according to the brief changelog given by T-Mobile which is actually the baseband version is not T999TUVUEMJC, without the letter “T”. For those who can’t update via OTA and only getting update failures or more likely if your Galaxy S4 T999 is rooted, currently running with custom recovery, ROM and modified kernel, then this is for you.
Before proceeding, you must be aware that the 4.3 has now comes with a new bootloader that includes the KNOX security applications. This KNOX apps now comes a built-in ‘KNOX warranty void’ counter in system recovery, meaning once you installed or upgraded to 4.3 firmware you have now a limited access to the new bootloader. The possibility of gaining root access, or installing custom recovery and ROMs will result into tripping this KNOX warranty void counter, from the default count of ‘0x0′ to ‘0x1′. Risk of soft-bricking your device may also occurs when you try to restore back to previous 4.1.2 T999UVDMD5, for its also reacts the 4.1.2 bootloader.
